# AI4Care Project

> AI4Care is an EU-funded project empowering caregivers of people with disabilities through AI literacy, digital inclusion and practical training in AI-assisted care. Partners: UOITI (Croatia) and IPAK Institute (Slovenia).

## About the project

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies is transforming health and care sectors. Caregivers of people with disabilities — whether family members, professional caregivers or social workers — often lack the digital knowledge and skills needed to leverage AI tools that could directly improve the quality of life of the people they support.

AI-based solutions such as speech recognition, smart assistants, predictive analytics and assistive technologies can personalise care, improve communication, increase caregivers' efficiency and well-being, and relieve them of unnecessary administrative tasks.

The AI4Care project addresses this gap by empowering caregivers to provide effective, inclusive and technologically supported care.

## Project goals

A. Training and requalification of caregivers in AI-supported care
B. Promoting digital inclusion for caregivers and people with disabilities
C. Developing sustainable educational resources for long-term impact

## Project activities

1. Developing a practical manual on AI adapted to the specific needs of caregivers — a long-term learning resource
2. Organising workshops with hands-on practical training
3. Creating a sustainable educational model applicable beyond the project's duration

## Expected results

- At least 30 caregivers trained and digitally literate
- A published practical manual on AI for caregivers
- Improved independence and quality of life for people with disabilities through AI-enhanced support
- An educational model adaptable to other sectors of care and the health system
- UOITI and IPAK positioned as leaders in digital inclusion of people with disabilities
